A stronger container

Within the context of an innovation project, Valvan Containers subjected the traditional standard container to a thorough analysis in 2013. The main goal was to obtain a container with a better strength-weight ratio.

Valvan Containers always takes into account all the remarks of customers and users of containers, with the goal of improving quality and convenience of use of containers.

Within the context of an innovation project, Valvan Containers subjected the traditional standard container to a thorough analysis in 2013. The main goal was to obtain a stronger container with a better strength-weight ratio.

Solution

Thanks to thorough research conducted in consultation with IWT (Flemish Agency for Innovation by Science and Technology), we have succeeded in developing a completely new container called T-frame container.

The most important innovation of the T-frame container is the frame, where the traditional IPN180 profile has been replaced with a T-profile welded with our robots. This T profile is stronger, lighter and has round slots for secure fixing of the container to the trailer.

T-frame containers come in two versions:

  • TPT series containers have an internal height of up to 1,250 mm (up to 15 m3) and have profiled side walls.
  • FLT series containers have an internal height as from 1,260 mm (from 20 m3) and are equipped with a patented FL strut profile.

‘At Valvan Containers, we use a unique design of strut profiles to minimize container bottom sagging. Containers equipped with an FL strut profile are 71% more rigid than their equivalent with square strut profiles.'

Result

At Valvan Containers, we design and build an extensive range of containers for all types of waste. We are one of the first manufacturers of fully robotically-welded containers. This results in a sturdy, beautifully finished and corrosion-resistant container.
