Grasim Vilayat signs for 5 GSA200 baling presses at Gualchierani Baling Systems. Grasim is part of the Aditya Birla Group, a leading global player in Viscose Staple Fiber (VSF).
The 5 new GSA baling presses will be operational by halfway through 2019. The Aditya Birla Group is expanding their arsenal of GSA baling presses from Gualchierani Baling Systems with complete reliance. The Aditya Birla Group has 2 GSA's in Indo Bharat (Indonesia) and 7 of these giants in Grasmin Vilayat (India).
VSF is a biodegradable fiber, with characteristics akin to cotton, which is mainly used for clothing. The basic raw material for VSF is grade pulp derived from plants such as soya, bamboo and sugar cane. In the production process, after drying, the fiber is supplied to the GSA baling press with air transport. The press has a total height of no less than 17 meters and includes a static condenser, doser, weighing unit, loader, pre press, main press and others. A bale of about 300kg is made in 5 to 6 batches and can be removed with the bale evacuator. The inside of the GSA baling press is completely made of stainless steel to ensure a clean fiber, which is extremely important to the producer.
