LVC’s Lommel manager Leo Van Campfort (at the left in the picture) is 71 years old and had no follow-up so far. Johan De Baene came up with the idea to stop by at LVC accompanied by Peter Vandeputte for an ‘informal visit’.
They all got along right away. Leo, who himself is loved by the entire region, is an ex-football player at the Lommel football club and is still bursting with energy at the age of 71. Thanks to Johan’s charm, he convinced Leo that his company would receive the best guarantees of professionalism and continuity within the Valtech Group. As a result, on October 1st 2019, just 6 months later, the takeover became a reality. LVC’s location in particular is an asset. Since Lommel is located above the Brussels-Antwerp axis, we now operate without problems with Valvan Containers in the south of Belgium and in the north of France, and with LVC Container Construction in the north of Belgium and the south of the Netherlands. This makes us, both companies together, the market leader in container construction. LVC also has about 50 experienced and competent employees and we produce all our containers for 100 % in the factory in Lommel. Finally, LVC is know for its high-quality containers and there is a separate department that repairs, shines and paints old containers. LVC will therefore also maintain its name and its typical round-cornered containers. We can however improve production methods and we will gain a huge competitive advantage by combining the technical knowledge from both companies.
